EPIDEMIOLOGY OF HEALTHCARE

Each Fall term, the Epidemiology of Healthcare course is offered in Community Health Sciences. The epidemiology of healthcare focuses on how factors other than disease are related to health and use of the health care system. This course focuses on the broad social determinants of health, and how the data in the population research repository housed at MCHP can be used to understand these issues.

This course is a great way to understand some of the different applications and uses of linkable administrative data.

The course is offered in the fall term and has several pre-requisites.  If you have taken any biostatistics or epidemiology courses in the past, these pre-requisites can be waived. Contact the professors if you wish to audit the course.
